Baruch/Benedict de Spinoza (1632-1677). Dutch philosopher is considered by many to be the founder of European rationalism and the author of the doctrine of separation of church and state.  The effect of his life and works has found renewed interest among scholars and enthusiasts, in countless organizations and through numerous biographies, periodicals and journals, and his ideas remain as fodder for endless debate.

This website is an outgrowth of the artistic expression of his life found in the new musical drama Searching for Spinoza and will serve as a public forum for the sharing of ideas and information through Spinoza’s continuing effect on the ways we view our world.
